On-Campus Housing

This year, On-Campus Housing is being offered to competition team members and advisors

In addition to reserving traditional hotel room blocks, Louisiana Tech has also secured on-campus housing options. Teams may select the option that works best for them. Further instructions and details about the accommodation options are provided below.

On-campus housing is available for competition team members and advisors as a cost-effective alternative to staying in a hotel. This option allows students to be in closer proximity to event locations, and free breakfast is also available in Louisiana Tech's Dining Hall on Friday and Saturday mornings. Classes will not be in session during competition weekend, leaving a mostly empty campus and plenty of parking options all around campus.

Residential Halls

Attendees will be housed in three newly built residential halls on the West side of Louisiana Tech's campus: Richardson Hall, Cottingham Hall, and Mitchell Hall. All of these dorms are in very close proximity to each other and the rest of campus. It will take about a 7 minute walk to The Quad and about 15 minutes to the Integrated Engineering and Science Building (IESB). If desired, please follow the respective hyperlinks for more information on each residential hall.

Pricing and Making Reservations

Teams will choose to stay for either two or three nights.

Three-Night Stay (Check-in: May 30th | Check-out: June 2nd):
If your team plans to come into Ruston on Thursday, May 30th, select the option for the three-night stay (May 30th to June 2nd). This option will be a total of $110 per person for the weekend. Check-in for these teams will be from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday at a location to be determined. If your team will get into Ruston at a later time, please reach out to Reed Edwards at rre014@latech.edu.

Room Types

In these residential halls, there are two room options: suites and single occupancy rooms. All team members will be assigned to the same residential building. We will first fill the suites on a first come first serve basis.

Faculty Advisors

If advisors choose to stay in the residential halls, they will have an individual suite with a private bathroom. We will try to assign advisors to the same residential building as their team, but it is not guaranteed.

All attendees who choose on-campus housing will be given a key card and a key fob for their rooms at check-in. These key cards must be returned before leaving on Sunday, June 2nd by 12 pm. More information on returning keys will be provided in mailer #2.

All attendees who choose this option must bring their own bedding and towels. A list of suggested items to bring for the on-campus stay is provided below.
