Travel Information
Flying to San Diego International Airport
The nearest major airport to the University of California, San Diego is the San Diego International Airport. The approximate highway distance between the airport and UCSD is 13 miles. Transportation options from the airport include Uber/Lyft and the Blue Line Trolley Line ($2.50 for one-way fare. The San Diego Airport provides free shuttle services to the Old Town Transportation Center–a stop on the Blue Line Trolley for more information).
Other Modes of Travel
The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner services the Southern California coastline. The closest major transportation center to the competition is the Old Town Transit Center, which is 12 miles away.
Note: Amtrak is undergoing construction on certain sections of the Pacific Surfliner; shuttle buses are in use between Irvine and Oceanside, California. Amtrak also provides routes from other regions of the country to LA, which can be connected to San Diego through the Pacific Surfliner.
Shipping Your Bridge
Bridges can be shipped to the University of California, San Diego campus. Schools will be responsible for the pick-up of their own bridge from the shipping location. All bridges must arrive at the University of California, San Diego campus no later than May 26th at the following address:

Once teams have shipped their bridge, tracking information must be provided to the host school by May 19th. Tracking information may be submitted through the tracking information submission form. Schools will be responsible for all costs associated with bridge shipping as well as the return shipping logistics following the competition. More information regarding bridge pick-up will be updated on the website soon.
